Too Extra? Plus glasses worries

Bailey, on September 7, 2019 at 6:46 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12

We're having a (relatively) small wedding (50 people, family and might-as-well-be-family). My dream is to wear a full-length gown, but part of me feels like it's too much for a small affair...

It is your wedding day. It's never to small an affair to dress your best. If you want a long beautiful dress then I say get yourself one that makes you feel like a goddess!

It's not too small. People elope just bride and groom and still wear a full gown. It's your wedding! Make your dreams come true!

Wear what you want! Even if you were having it at a bowling alley!

I don't think that's too much AT ALL. Ive a friend who wore a full length gown and she only had a ceremony with her, her groom, officiant, and photographers.

I didnt want a formal dress, but my fiance said it's part of the experience. I'm really glad he said to do it because I cant wait to knock his socks off. Smiley smile

Do it! It’s your day! We’re having a small wedding, 35 people, and I got an a-line, borderline ballgown. I tried it on and knew immediately it was the one!

Do it, you won't regret it. My wedding is 60 people, all family and close friends, and I bought a gorgeous ballgown. I think it's important to get what you truly want or you'll regret it. You don't want to look back and feel regret about your wedding.

I had a super fancy dress and I think our guest count was closer to 25 people. You (hopefully) only get to do this once!

It is not extra at all. I had an intimate wedding of 40 guests comprising of immediate family and our closest friends. We had a black tie wedding and I wore a custom made wedding gown and he wore a black tux. We also went all out and had 2 bands (a 5-piece dinner band and a 9-piece band for dancing) as well as a photo booth, candy bar, hot chocolate and cider bar, as well as two late night snacks after our multi-course plated dinner. Having a smaller wedding does not mean you need to change anything else about your wedding or what you wear.
