Too early to hire baker?

I'm a firm believer of getting things done as soon as possible, so I say go for it! As long as you know what you want, I don't see any problem booking this far in advance

I don't think so. Since your wedding is less than a year away I would think it would be perfectly fine. Our venue had a contract with a local bakery so we didn't have to worry about hiring one.

Our wedding is may and we found our baker back in February. We found her at a local craft show. Its 360 includes a jumbo 8 inch cupcake and 180 mini and 24 regular cupcake the 180 mini are 6 different flavors

You're less than a year out, so it's not too early at all! Finding the baker you want right now will make sure you can have your top choice (they won't be all booked up on your date!)

My wedding was at the end of September and I went around this time last year to book a bakery. I would be careful booking someone just starting out or just setting up shop, they might not last the 9 months until your wedding.

It’s definitely not to early. Do your homework and read reviews and find out how long they’ve been in business. Ask about delivery and setup fees and understand all the contract things before you go to a tasting so there aren’t any surprises in the end. Good luck.

I’m a huge believer in locking down vendors as early as possible. Our wedding is in 3 months but we had all our main vendors booked over a year in advance, which has been a big help now that we’re getting closer. Instead of worrying about big stuff, I have the time (and energy) to focus on the details.

Nope, not too early. If you find a baker you like, I’d book them and get that checked off your list.

We booked ours in July 2019 and aren’t getting married until October 2020. During our search for vendors I found October to be a very busy month in 2020 for weddings. And we happen to be getting married during the Abq Ballon fiesta which is a very large tourist event. So things were booking quickly and I didn’t want to miss the opportunity for the baker I wanted as she is a one woman show.

We know a couple getting married in October 2020 and I believe they did their cake in September of this year!

I don't think it's too early to start contacting bakers at all! We did our tasting & booked our baker 8 months before our wedding.

Never too early! I'm trying to book all big vendors at least a year out so that I can spend energy on the details and relaxing
