Too early to buy grooms ring??

We found a ring that we both LOVE for him, but we don’t get married until 2022. I’m wondering if I should goo ahead and buy it so I can spread out expenses over 2 years, or if I should wait a little longer? It’s a very unique ring and I’m also worried it may not be available in 2 years since it’s “make when purchased.” Send me your opinions!!

Women get engagement rings 2 years in advance all the time, so I don't see the big deal. My only concern would be if it's a material that can't be resized. Our bodies can change a lot in 2 years.

So true. It’s made of steel or white gold and I planned on the steel since he likes that kind of stuff. I’m not sure of the resizing stuff though.

If you both really like it, and it may not be available closer to your wedding, I would go ahead and buy it. And as you said, spreading out expenses over the next 2+ years will really be helpful in the long run.

I would buy it, what's the harm. Just put it in a safe place (that you wont forget, haha) Tungsten and titanium cant be resized, not sure about steel. Mens hands don't change as much as women I feel, my dad had the same band his entire life and never once resized.

I don't think it is too early. FH have both our wedding bands already. We got ours in 2018. If you know those are the rings you want , then go for it! happy wedding planning to you!

I think it’s fine. As pp said engagement rings for women are given so men getting their wedding rings sooner isn’t a big deal to me

I bought my grooms ring the week after her proposed! haha We got a custom meteorite and dinosaur bone ring from etsy.

My FH got his ring he wanted right after he got me my ring like 8months ago. And hes been wearing it ever since lol.
