Too early for the dress?

It doesn’t hurt to start looking, but I personally wouldn’t buy a dress this far out. Our bodies can change a lot in 2 years. There are also tons of dresses that will be released between now and then and you could prefer the newer styles.

Yes, I think 2 years is too early because wedding dress FOMO is a real thing. You may second guess your choice over the next 2 years, especially as you see new styles come out and other people posting pics of their dress. Plus, you may lose or gain weight over that time. I would wait until you're at least 1 year out.

My wedding isn't until 10/10/2020 and we purchased my dress 01/2019. We originally went to start looking, it was our first shopping trip, and I'm not big on shopping. So went totally thinking we weren't gonna find anything. My father purchased mine, he's already paid it off and has started asking where else he can help. So it's never to early to look.

It's ok to start looking I echo the sentiment that you can shop around at least

I would tell him you'll start looking in the Spring of 2020, then go to as many stores as you can and make a decision 10-12 months out from your wedding.

NOT AT ALL... My wedding is October 2021. I actually purchased my dress already. It's NEVER to early to start looking because what you THINK you want may actually change when you start to try on dresses.

I think it's still too far out to purchase a dress, but if you're 100% sure about what you want it should be fine!

My wedding is more than likely going to be October 2021, so I'm waiting until next Spring to start looking and then hoping to have it picked out by October.
