Hey, Jamie! Welcome to the WeddingWire Community! Smiley heart

Weddings can be extremely expensive- it really depends on what you're looking for, and what you're willing to compromise on! Your could do a backyard event to save on venue fees, keep your guest list really small, and cut out some of the traditional aspects that aren't necessary!

Just keep in mind that family members may offer to help pay for different things, but if you're having a wedding you are technically hosting a party and shouldn't expect your guests (family or not) to pay for it.

Are you open to having a small event, or even moving your date back to have more time to save up? Take a look at our Budget Tool to get started- you can input the amount your think you can save up by your date, and it'll break it down based on estimated costs! Smiley winking

Get a side job or second job and all of that money goes to the wedding. Donate plasma. Sell things. Live on a super tight budget until the wedding. Ask parents and grandparents if they plan to contribute to the wedding and how much. Every penny you don't need to pay your bills goes to the wedding fund. Be frugal and look for deals. DIY what you can but make sure it's not more expensive than buying. Look for friends and family who might consider helping with food, hair and makeup, set up ect. Have a small wedding. Hope that helps.

Maybe Elope? i am having a small wedding in Sedona, but i noticed there are a lot of beautiful elopement packages that are affordable.

The other thing you can do is check out the parks they are cheaper to hold a wedding. I know for example Lake Pleasant park even has a beautiful view and amphitheater and I think they even have a room you can use for reception if you want at low cost. most of the Maricopa parks have a spot you could do a beautiful wedding. You can plan a wedding on a low budget you just have to be creative. I have a friend who did her wedding there and it was gorgeous. She handmade her flowers from paper and they were so cute.

try heritage square in phoenix it is also beautiful and I believe it was around the same price.

Any of the parks will be around this price too if you have one near by you.

Many people just get a officiant that knows the area and you can have a ceremony with a few people standing in the beautiful rocks there. just a thought too. You don't have to rent an entire venue.

There are also cheaper places around phoenix. I know there is a wedding place that is a garden place in glendale. It was owned by one of the senators in Peoria. Also there is Nardini manor in goodyear Az that used to hold weddings. Or places like pioneer park, saguro ranch park or even the larger parks like white tanks or cave creek or mcdowell mountains. Check out lake plesant they have a great area for weddings. not too much money at all.
