Toast with arms intertwined

Beth, on May 22, 2017 at 9:39 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 7

What are yalls thoughts on the arms intertwined toast? Should that be when you're cutting cake too? Or during the best man and maid of honor speech? I'm a little on the fence on if we want to do it.

I'm not against it, I just don't know what the tradition even is.

Do what you are comfortable with . Just because something is a tradition doesn't mean you have to do it . You can make your own traditions as well . Best wishes !

Our photographer suggested after cake cutting. We decided to pass.

Never seen this done, the arms intertwined thing, except when we were little kids playing.

My impression is that there's a picture of this in every wedding album from the 70's and 80's, but now would be done just for the LOLs. It's certainly not a tradition, just a photo op fad.
