To Video or not to video....

I don’t think it’d be worth it. Even if it was well lit, I’ve heard of very few people actually watching their wedding video after their first year and that’s why we didn’t do one.

Is it possible to do a mock set up and try a random video to see if it would work out? Personally we're not doing a video for our wedding but if it's something you want, you should try it out. Also talk to a videographer about it and get professional advice

I would definitely talk with your potential videographers to get their input on how they feel this might turn out. It's possible they'll have to use more lighting than you'd like for the ambiance you're going for, but only they can tell you that.

We aren’t splurging on a videographer. What we’ll be doing is having a GoPro fixed to our wedding arch, tucked unobtrusively in with the florals, that will get the entire ceremony. That’s really the only part I was a bit bummed about not having a videographer for since we’re doing an unplugged ceremony. I know the reception will be well documented by guests via Snapchat, IG, and just taking videos.

If you hire a professional videograpther, they will bring their own lighting. so any lighting conditions will be corrected.
