To veil or not to veil....?

So I finally found a dress (yay!) but I’m having some issues deciding what to do about my veil. I’m using my grandmas veil, which my mom and aunts also wore. She said I can alter it a bit but I’m hesitant to do anything too drastic. I had always envisioned myself wearing a veil but my dress has a super cool back that I don’t want to hide. The veil has a lot of layers so that presents another issue when it comes to the back of my dress. Here are some pictures of both (sorry I don’t have a great pic of the veil...hopefully this helps!). Any creative souls out there have some ideas on how to make this work?? I would appreciate it!!
