My close friend is getting married. I am her bridesmaid along with my other good friend. The bride does not have a registry and she doesn't want to have a bridal party. Therefore for a bachelorette party, the other bridesmaid and I decided to plan a spa day at a fancy spa where we will get massages. Then we will go to a fancy restaurant. There we will give the bride gifts. my friend is getting the bride China plate setting for 2. I got the bride a personalized burlap frame with the couple's names that say love and their wedding date. along with it, I thought of giving a gift card to bed, bath, and beyond for $200 instead of cash. Do you think this is a good idea?

I think it depends on the person, I dont see the problem with it though as it's still a gift at the end of the day

If it's for a store they are registered at, I'd do it. Most people never get everything not heir registry.

I loved the gift cards that I received for my shower. I received some from Bed, Bath & Beyond, Macy's and Target. For the wedding we registered at Macy's and added the Dream Fund, which is a gift card that your guests can contribute to.

I love gift cards personally. They allow me to get what I want.

Cash is always fun too though.

We didn't register so we got mostly cash with a few gift cards. The gift cards were GREAT. I was excited about them. They're as good as cash IMO.

I don't like store-specific gift cards. A general visa gift card is ok but they sometimes have activation fees. I'd prefer cash or a check.
