To spray tan or not?

Paige, on October 28, 2017 at 8:12 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 16

My skin is suuuper fair, and I'm worried that it's going to highlight every flaw I have when I put my dress on. I just need some unbiased opinions on whether I should do a slight spray tan or not. Thank you!

I would try a slight spray tan prior to scheduling a fitting. This way you can see yourself in the gown with the spray tan.

I think your skin looks beautiful. If a spray tan wouldn't look "natural" on you, then I say skip it. Maybe do a trial now and see if you feel more or less confident/comfortable.

From what I can see you look lovely in your dress, skin tone and all! What is making you want to get a spray tan? Have you gotten one before? Personally I would try it before the wedding that way you know what to expect and have plenty of time to decide for or against it before the big day!

I think you look great, I wouldn't bother with a spray tan.

I have fair skin also and did a spray tan. I did a trial about 2 weeks before the wedding and will do so again 2 days before. I had someone spray me tho, not a spray booth...did that once and it was terrible. She was very helpful in helping my select the right color that would be very natural and it came out great

I wouldn't. Especially for a winter wedding date. Shoot, I'm super fair and getting married in July and have no intentions of getting one.

I'm super pale as well and boy, do I love a spray tan! I would go now and try one, see how you like it. I always use Groupon, find a deal, check their reviews. You can use the lightest possible one and it'll really make you glow in pictures.

I say skip it. I was thinking about one but then I realized I want to look like myself on my wedding day (I've never been tan a day in my life). Plus, if there's a super noticeable flaw (doubtful) your photographer should edit the photo.

I don't think you need it. I've always had bad experiences with spray tanning so unless you have time to test it out first, I vote skip. You look beautiful in that dress.

I agree with pp's. Skip it! I am super fair as well and looked poppin in my dress sans tan.

If it's not something you normally do, I would skip it. What if you end up hating the colour with your gown, or worse, if you end up not feeling like yourself? If you really want to make sure though, I would do a trial now, see if you enjoy the experience/result and how the colour behaves on your skin, if it transfers at all in clothes, so on. And also see if a tan actually does anything for any "flaw".

But I have to say, I really can't see any flaw, you look beautiful and so does your skin tone.

I'm super fair as well, but I've grown to embrace it. You're beautiful without a spray tan!

I'm SUPER pale, like almost transparent. I tried the spray tan, I felt like I looked good but I'm not going to do it again. It doesn't last and it stayed in every pore in my body and it felt nasty after, not worth it to me

I think you look great! I am pale as well but I've never gotten a spray tan before in my life so I just kind of embrace my pale skin all the time and won't bother getting any sort of tan for my wedding Smiley smile
