To spray tan or not to spray tan

Courtney, on October 7, 2019 at 10:08 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5
That is the question 😂. I am taking engagement photos at the end of this month and I am currently debating on whether or not I should get a spray tan for them. I got my outfits yesterday and it seems I will be mostly covered up with it being fall pictures.

The spray tan is only $25, but I've never got it done before. I'm always anxious that it isn't going to look natural or it will be too much.

Attaching the photos of my outfits! I finally found the type of dress I was looking for. It seems so difficult to find a solid colored dress these days. I will wear heels with dress and boots with shirt and jeans.

I considered a spray tan for my engagement photos (my legs are especially pasty), but decided against it because I didn't want to run the risk of being orange! Instead I got this self-tanning lotion from the drug store for less than $5. I used it morning and night for about five days and had just the results I wanted, definitely wasn't too overbearing (and smelled AMAZING). You can use as much or as little as you want to gradually build the tan. I used the medium to tan option since I wanted to be sure to get results in under a week. Hope this helps! Smiley smile

I probably wouldn't risk if for engagement photos but I'd try one after photos just to see if you like one, in case you want it for the wedding. Then if you don't, you can try other options like tanning lotions at home!

I was in the same position, I have to keep reminding myself to not do anything different than what I normally do.. so since I'm taking pics at the end of the month I ended up getting a basic tanning package to have some color.

I would try out some tanning lotions or self tanner!

Try Jergens Instant sun (comes in light or dark bronze), I’m using light. I did a spray tan a few months ago to try out and it was so splotchy and orange. I hated it, of course it works better on other people, I decided to do it myself with self tanner and this one didn’t look orange or anything and it lasted 2-4 days depending on how much you wash/scrub. you should test things out before hand always though! I am so glad I did.
