If it is popular where you are from, people will not be surprised. And it is a nice opportunity for the photographer to get pictures of you with your guests. If your venue will allow it, you can get some pucker and little plastic shot glasses, and they can get a shot with the dance.

    fast songs or slow songs?

    song ideas...

With a Little Help from my Friends - Beatles

I Hope You Dance - Leann Womack

If I had a Million Dollars - Bare Naked Ladies

Hey Big Spender - Sweet Charity

Money Burns a Hole in My Pocket - Dean Martin

There are TONS of songs that can be appropriate (usually slow-to-mid tempo) for a dollar dance. We put our "own" spin on the dollar dance by calling it the "Honeymoon Dance" instead. It is typically 3-4 songs long and lately the Best Man and MOH have been taking care of the money instead of the B&G being PINNED with the money. It can be fun and it gives your guests something to do while they're eating cake (we usually do it immediately following the cutting of the cake).
