To bustle or not?

Lauren, on February 17, 2021 at 10:47 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6
My dress has a chapel train and I think normally you would bustle that. However I’m basically having a small family elopement wedding. After the ceremony we are taking pictures, then changing and going to a restaurant for dinner. No reception or dancing or any of that. So is a bustle necessary? I won’t be in my dress more than a couple hours.

If you're changing out of it immediately, there is nothing to bustle unless your reception outfit has a train as well. For ceremony and pictures only, you are fine to leave the train as is.

No need, imo. Is wrist loop an option?

looped from the wrist, or on a finger loop , this does not take a seamstress, and with the finger loop you can hold it out while dancing so it seirls and is quite pretty.

I’d save my $$$ & not bustle it- don’t see a point as you’re changing after pics.

You all are right! I didn’t see the point in bustling it as I won’t be wearing it all that long. I will probably try the wrist or finger loop just to keep it from getting dirty. Thank you!!!
