To bubble or not to bubble

Amber, on March 20, 2017 at 8:03 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 9

Okay, I've got an issue. I've always wanted bubbles for my send off, so cute and fun! Wedding was supposed to be at 2 o'clock, i ordered the perfect little bubble tubes during a great sale, all is well right? Fast forward - wedding date and time changed, ceremony now starts at 7. It will likely be a very short ceremony so we might be done with the reception by 8-8:30... Will that be too dark for the bubbles to show up and make it worth it? I considered a sparkler send off but they stink and there'll be kids attending so probably not the greatest idea. Help!!!!

It's usually still light out 7-8 in the middle of July.

Will it be too dark for the bubbles to show up? No, it's July...it won't be dark until nearly 9:00 PM (think of how long you sit around waiting for the sky to get dark enough to watch your community fireworks display on Independence Day). Bubbles aside, way aside, are you saying that your wedding, from start to finish, will be an hour to an hour and a half? Rather than worry about bubbles, can I ask, are you serving a meal and cocktails? Your time frame kind of requires it.

Don't shoot the messenger, but are you really expecting guests to attend a 60-90 minute wedding on a Friday night, after work? Honey, bubbles are the least of your concerns.

I agree with Rachel... less than 2 hours for ceremony and reception?

But sunset in Orlando in July is 8:30-9PM, you'll be fine

That's the thing, I'm not sure yet how long the reception will be. Because things have kept changing on me plans have been thrown out the window and reworked so many times Smiley tongue Thanks for the input

And @rachel, with the 2 o'clock wedding I was planning on just having cake, punch, and an ice cream bar - my entire family loves ice cream and was super excited about it, and my church doesn't allow alcohol/none of us drink so no cocktails. Now with it having to be later I'm not sure... I'd planned and budgeted for the ice cream, and I've got so many people excited about it. I know with that time frame it's more customary to have heavy apps or a full meal though. Don't crucify me for it, nothing is settled yet and I'll likely wind up going with food anyway.

Bubbles will stain people's clothes FYI ... and also you shouldn't have people come to a wedding right after work and not feed them

Bubbles are so darn cute...and so darn slippery and they stain clothing as Gorgame said.

I think bubbles inside would be a slipping hazard
