To add a special touch to my ceremony I'll be lighting incense...

Does anyone know of a good place to buy incense? Or can you recommend any nice scents?

I know they cell some at Target. Could you try places in the mall? Maybe a candle store?

Also, I would be leery about lighting incense during the ceremony. While it'll be a nice touch, there are some people that may have allergies and this would irritate it. I know that when I am someplace with different smells or incense, I go into a short sneezing attack and get the sniffles. It's ultimately up to you but you don't want to have uncomfortable guests either. Smiley smile

Don't do the dollar tree their incense are awful!!!!!! otherwise most any other place has some good ones.. You want to stick with a scent that isn't going to knock out any guest that is illergic and that's going to be the hard part... http://sheabutterr.com/nasabbnew/incense.htm these are really good because the scents don't over power and they come in some really good scents like rose and jasmine. I love jasmine and I personally don't think the prices are too bad.

Hey I use incense all the time and my mom is allergic big time.. (sorry if my typing is awful I'm still having that left eye blind thing going ugh) But those don't bother her at all. You find that hand rolled incense are always going to be better quality, cheaper, and have a much milder scent then incense done by a company.

I have to agree with brian & heavnsnt, as I am one of those that the incense would irritate. This is assuming it is an indoor ceremony. My daughter and I both get severe headaches at the very least and some scents actually make it difficult for me to breathe. Don't want to be a bummer on this otherwise great idea, but would hate to have guests getting up and leaving because of it.

Oh also the trick with hand rolled incense to save them, wrap them in aluminum and stick them in the freezer.

I like the incense they have at whole foods. it's all essential oil based and not too perfumey.

My ceremony is outdoors. I think if I light it away like at the end of my gazebo...it will not be overpowering..especially if I choose a mild scent. But it is a good idea to find out if any of my guests are irritated by them.

@Luta...I didn't know that about incense and I burn them all the time Smiley smile
