Title name for escorts

Hi everyone. Question, we're allowing everyone to sit where they want at the ceremony (got one of those cute lil signs that say "pick a seat not a side.") I have 3 male cousins who will be escorting my grandma, my mom, and my honorary mom down the aisle. What do I call them in the wedding program? Originally I was asking them to usher and escort but now that the ushering isn't necessary do I actually just title them escorts?

    Hi Michele, I don't understand exactly what you're saying isn't necessary to do. Don't title them as escorts? But then what would I list them as? Or are you saying don't list them at all?

    It's completely up to you if you want to list them. You can call them ushers or escorts..they are the same thing. Ushers/escorts are not usually listed but you can certainly list them if you wish.

    I plan on listing my nephews that are escorting our mothers and grandmothers into the ceremony as ushers in the wedding program. That’s all they are doing (besides making sure people get a program and a bag of toss petals).

    Thanks! So I guess ushers is just the only title that fits. I was just worried that would be weird but I see it's not so ushers it is!

    I think ushers is the best option. You could also forego listing them at all since they only have one small part in the actual ceremony.
