Tips

So I see there are a lot of posts on this already but I can't seem to find anything about setup fees. Both our cake and florist are delivering to our venue (florist setting up) and they both include a delivery & setup fee in their contract. Cake was a $50 delivery/setup fee to drive the cake 10 miles and she is just handing it to our DOC. The florist is charging $225 for delivery and setup. They're located about 10 miles away as well and said it will take them about 3 hours to setup (which seems a little crazy to me). Would you still tip them or do you think the setup/delivery fee covers it?

Also, do you think $200 for DJ, $100 for each photographer, $150 for videographer and $50 for shuttle driver are reasonable? I'd love to be able to mail tips to these guys after the fact to see how everything went first but many people have told me that it's expected you give it to them night of.

Advice appreciated!

We still tipped our florist, who did setup and teardown for our wedding (we rented an arch). For most of our vendors, we let our day-of coordinator communicate that we will be mailing our tips after the wedding day. We then reached out to each individual vendor requesting the best address to send it to and enclosed a check in our thank you cards.

Mary, did your vendors seem okay with receiving tips after the fact? Did they still do a good job?

    Hey Lisa!

It's great that your delivery and set up cost is already included in your total. I would recommend tipping the delivery drivers though.
