Tips on Prosecco or Cava brands for Mimosas

Crystal, on August 20, 2020 at 8:39 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 10
Hi! I’m having a brunch wedding and will be serving mimosas, but I’m not a drinker myself and have no clue the best budget friendly brand out there. What do you suggest and/or prefer?
Thank you!

I like Lamarca. It's pretty cheap and tastes delicious. For mimosas, you can go even cheaper since the orange juice kind of overpowers the prosecco.

But if you have a larger guest list/want to save more $$ a bottle of J Roget champagne is around $7/bottle. I believe the LaMarca is $11-$13/bottle

Alma Brut sparkling or semi dry is less than $6 and worth it for mimosas (total wine) also have plenty of strawberries - they bring out the flavor in champagne 😉

Everyone has their own preference. Ask a handful of your guests (parents, siblings, fiance, best friends) what they like and go from there.

La Marca is my fav! But Costco has a good Kirkland brand that you can probably get cheaper!

Honestly, I think whatever prosecco or cava is available to you locally for a price that fits your budget. Every single inexpensive prosecco or cava I have ever tried (and bubbly is standard at my friends' gatherings, so I've tried a lot) all taste so much better than inexpensive champagne.

I personally really like Josh wines and they actually make a Prosecco as well, so I would go with them. They tend to be between $14-20 for their wines, not sure exactly how much the Prosecco is. For a cheaper option, I’ve also found that Barefoot doesn’t taste too bad and they have a lot of different flavored sparkling options in case you want something other than Prosecco.
