Tips on Nerves

Hey guys, my wedding is this Saturday and I was doing ok with my nerves but for some reason I’ve been so nervous all day already and it’s only 8 am where I live! Like, I’m nervous to the point of just wanting the wedding to be done already, and back to my normal life. I think it’s a combination of stress from finishing tiny little detail oriented things, to knowing I’m going to be the center of attention, especially during the ceremony (even though we only have around 40ish guests). I want to enjoy my wedding day so does anyone have any tips on how to deal with nerves right before the wedding?

I already have anxiety issues and started taking ashwagandha to get me through some of this wedding stress. It is herbal and over the counter. I do feel it helps. I also recommend getting a good night's sleep and try taking a walk or hit the gym if you can. The endorphins can help. I'm also a big fan of watching something that will make me cry. It has been shown that crying actually helps lift your mood. But mostly breathe! Talk to your FS if you need to. They are the one that will be by your side for the rest of your life, so learn to lean a bit.

I really like what you said about learning to lean on my fiancé. I will definitely share my concerns with him. And I’ll take a walk with the dog tonight 😄. Three days left and I’ll be on a beach sipping margaritas haha

I sometimes have to remind myself that my FW is here for me as much as I am there for her. That margarita is going to taste so good!!! Enjoy and give yourself a break before then. It's going to be amazing!
