Tips for engagement session

Try to have fun with it! We were making jokes with each other a good portion of the time and I think those pictures turned out the best because we were relaxed.

Where are you guys taking the pics? Is it outdoors or indoors?
Have different poses ready. While the photographer can help with some ideas and poses, it would help them a lot into giving you different options. I've been using pinterest for ideas for my engagement photoshoot. If it is outdoor then utilize all of the space you have around you.
Also make sure to have some makeup, blotting sheets, tissues, etc. just in case you may need touch ups.

Have fun!!! Laugh a lot!!! Practice posing at home together. Look up how to stand or pose. Sometimes we slouch and don’t realize we are. Put your outfits on and take a few pictures at home and see if you like how it looks. (I’m redoing mine cus I didn’t like them 😩) my outfits and the way I stood were awful and the photographer we had (was not our primary) wouldn’t tell me how to pose or stand or can you straighten up. Nothing.

Make sure FH doesn’t have stuff in his pockets! My husband didn’t take out his wallet and the photographer didn’t say anything. So, he has a big bump on his butt 🤦‍♀️
Also take a picture of your outfits before hand to see how they photograph, and you can get a better feel of how you look. I would have chosen different ones.
But relax and have fun with it! Trust your photographer with their poses/ideas.
