Tips for avoiding armpit fat?

Anonymous, on March 5, 2020 at 7:57 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5

When I wear my strapless dress I feel like I have "armpit fat." I don't really know how else to describe it. Is there anything I can do to make it not as noticeable?

I added a picture for demonstration purposes. Do you think it needs additional alterations?

This looks really good in my opinion! I definitely do not see any armpit fat 😊

I don’t see arm fat but I had something similar with back sausage fat. My seamstress let mine out a touch and it was perfect. But mine isn’t strapless.

OMG I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO'S PARANOID ABOUT THIS! I was certain I would never choose a strapless dress because, armpit fat. But mine actually has an eyelash lace neckline that covers it up nicely. In your case, it's not that bad because it just blends into your boobs for the most part (I am not as generously endowed...) but if you're still worried about it, maybe your seamstress could make some recommendations? We can't be the only ones with this problem lol.

Dress looks amazing on you! But having the same issue I know exactly what you mean. So for my dress I'm having off the shoulder straps which will help cover that area a bit but I'm also trying some excercises to tone up my arms and chest a bit more. With a strapless dress you can't loosen it up too much because then you'll be pulling it up all night.

My MOH is a size 0 and dislikes a lot of strapless dresses for the same reason. She's NOT fat, at all (she's 5-8). It's just how some bodies are proportioned.

I'm not sure what reasonable alterations would reduce the appearance of this area, but I can say its something that you notice and are paying attention to but absolutely no one else is focused on. I can see what you are talking about (because my MOH has the same issue and you specifically pointed it out), but I'd never look at that photo and be like "that chick has armpit fat". You honestly look gorgeous in that dress and it fits you really well.
