Tips: Amazon Registry Card + Details Cards

FutureMrsM, on May 11, 2018 at 12:01 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 4

Couple quick tips I've discovered today!

The default gift card on Amazon and Target registries are removable for those who are like me and wanted to get rid of it but didn't know how. Target gift card can be removed in the settings options. Amazon gift card can be removed by reaching out to customer service and asking them to take it off for you. I reached out via chat and had it gone in under 2 minutes.

For details card I just needed something simple. The card that matched my invitation suite was quoted out at $245 for 150 cards - stupid expensive for such a small amount of info I needed. I went on Vistaprint and designed business cards as details cards instead and got 250 for only $18. Example of some design options I looked at to coordinate with my invitations are below for funsies! (FYI these cards are placeholder content / some info has been removed for privacy.)

It's actually really easy to remove the Amazon gift card without going through customer service. Just go to your registry, click on the Amazon gift card to edit it, and click "remove from registry" (just as you would with any other gift on your registry).
