Which vendors should we tip?
Hair and makeup idea charging $900 for the bride and $300 for the wedding party. I think that’s a lot of money already? Do we have to tip? Not trying to be cheap I just not sure what’s appropriate.
Also, who else expects a tip? DJ...Tia

Anyone providing a service should be tipped. This includes hair and makeup, catering/serving staff, bar tenders, photographer, videographer, DJ, etc.

For your hair & makeup team, I’d tip them each individually for their service!

You only tip vendors who go above and beyond the call of duty. Also you wait until you return from the honeymoon when you have an objective mindset to assess their quality of service before tips are distributed. You do not tip anyone who is a no show, provides bad service or just shows up to do their job with nothing special to show for it. If you do tip them, it sends the message of "thank you for treating us like crap, please go do it to someone else".
The amount is whatever you feel those who went beyond the call of duty deserve within your budget. Standard percentage is 10-15%.
