My wedding is this Saturday, and I’m unsure who I may need to tip, and how much. I’m seeing mixed remarks online, and receiving mixed responses from family.

Hair and makeup- co-owners of a salonPhotographer- owns her own companyOfficiantFood being dropped off by caterer. Not being served or cleaned up by them, strictly dropping off and leaving

Just had my wedding Saturday and out of respect all vendors were ripped a standard 20 percent. This included valet service, transportation, glam squad caterers, bartender, etc. They all went over and beyond.

Wait until after the wedding is over when you are in an objective frame of mind to assess everyone’s performance. Then tip only those who went above and beyond the call of duty. Do not tip anyone who is a no show or provides bad/mediocre service, because it gives them the message that you are happy they slacked off.
