Tipping

We are providing beer and wine for our wedding, but the venue requires us to use their bartender. The $200 comes out of our deposit. What should we tip in this situation?

You wait until after the honeymoon when you have an objective view of how vendors performed. Only tip if they went above and beyond the call of duty.

20% tip is standard for service, so in this case, at least $40.

I'd probably tip $50 (and make sure they don't have a tip jar out).

Hi Lesia! You should tip the bartender 10 to 15 percent of the total bar tab. So I'd estimate how many drinks they'll be serving and do the math from there!

I would personally tip at least 20% ($40) and then allow the guests to give tips if they prefer. I’ve personally bartended a lot of weddings, and in my case, would only be given $2.13/hour from my owner.
