TIPPING PASTOR

Tiffany, on March 6, 2017 at 10:22 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 6

If my Pastor charges $125 for the ceremony how much additional should I tip him?

Also counseling is performed with someone else and the assessment is $35, what tip should this couple receive? cash? gift card?

$125?! Wow, that's cheap. My church assesses wedding fees at 10% of the reception cost, with a maximum fee of $5K.

What's the typical amount you put in a collection plate? I'd maybe do a few months' worth. Would a $50 tip be affordable to you?

For $35, I'd do a gift card somewhere.

THANK YOU.. my first thought was to add $75-100. And the ceremony is same location as my reception otherwise it may have been more.

and the $35 will be cash, but I wanted to give them an additional gift. So I'll more than likely go with a gift card.

If $75-100 is feasible to you, do it. Best wishes and congratulations!
