Tipping for hair and makeup trial

I did tip.

I think the rule is you tip if they're an employee of a larger business, but no tip if they own the business themselves.

I'd tip the standard 20% that I normally do for beauty appointments

I tipped $20 for my engagements and my trial. No idea if that's good etiquette or not, but she seemed surprised when I tipped at my trials.
