TIP - Still need help finding ceremony or reception songs? Pandora!

LadyPearl, on November 7, 2016 at 2:00 PM Posted in Planning 0 8

I already have a 3-page working list of songs for our reception, but I know I'm missing a ton of songs. Since I always have Pandora on while I work, I decided to start a "Wedding Songs" station and so far I've already added 5 more songs to my list. The best party is hearing different renditions of the same songs so I've also tweaked my original selections. I'm also discovering songs from genres and artists I would have never even considered.

Just a tip for those of you still struggling with music. I recall seeing a few song threads in the last week or so. Good luck!

Are you having a DJ? If so, you don't have to give him/her tons of specific songs. If they're good you should just have to give them genres/artists you like, must plays, and do not plays.

Spotify is my DJ. Smiley smile

Either way, still helpful for couples trying to come up with specific songs for different parts of the ceremony, toasts, dances, etc.

Nice tip! I was thinking of doing the same thing with my stations but never thought to create a new wedding station!

I'm a fan of Spotify myself! There's the bonus of being able to make your own playlists rather than just relying on the radio feature.

Great tip! Does the station play songs to dance to such as Cupid Shuffle, Cha Cha Slide, etc? Will definitely be adding this station to Pandora soon Smiley smile

Ashlee, I don't think I've heard any dance music on the Pandora station I created but I just created a "Weddings, parties, anything" station and so far some good options have come up.

HisBlackbird, that's exactly what I'm doing with Spotify premium. We're not doing any speeches, special dances, etc, so a playlist is perfect for us. I'm just using Pandora for song ideas.
