Tip for Uplighting?

AF412, on March 19, 2018 at 10:22 AM Posted in Planning 0 3

I know I have nearly a year still, but I'm making sure to include all tips in my budget upfront so there are no surprises later!

We have an entertainment package that includes our officiant, live ceremony & cocktail hour music, as well as uplighting.

We will tip the officiant separately.

The owner of the company is the one playing the live music, and doing the uplighting. How do we tip for this, if at all? Do you tip based on the price of the music, or the whole package including the lighting?

I think since its one person/company you tip as one. Make sure its not included in the cost though like I have some that its already included

It's definitely not included in the price already, I was sure to double check that.

The officiant is a separate person performing the ceremony, but included in the overall package price. I figured we'd tip her separately.

If it is one person doing the job, just tip for one person. My DJ will be doing my up-lighting but I won't be tipping them twice.
