Tiny ceremony.. how to make it special?

Rachel, on July 16, 2018 at 3:06 PM Posted in Planning 0 7
What are some ways we can make our tiny intimate park ceremony special? We will have about 10 guests.. I call it a quasi-elopement lol. We'll have a guitarist & photographer, so a couple traditional elements will be there. Afterward, we will have lunch at a restaurant. I'm concerned I'll have regret the day won't feel climatic. It'll be over quickly, in a couple hours. We will have a party with friends about a month later. Any tips / ideas appreciated!

We had no guests, it was amazing and even MORE memorable because we didn't have hundreds of people there. It gave us more time to take it all in.

I think making things personalized helps make it special! Find some readings you love that speak to you, write your own vows. I think finding little sentimental things will really make it stick out as your special day! Do you have something to wear as something borrowed? All of those little details are awesome!

I'd suggest writing your own vows!

We had about 14 guests at our ceremony. It was so personal! Everyone sat in the front row in the Church, and the lights were dim. It was beautiful!

I'm only have 2 or 4 guests now including my 2 kids. We are doing a sand Ceremony to make it more special and will have a keepsake besides just pictures. We picked vows and all that stuff out that we can relate to.

Will you have a photographer at the party a month later, will you dress up again and do something a little special on that day to set it apart from just a party?

As a wedding and event planner for 20+ years, I knew what I did not want on my Wedding Day. That in mind, I recently planned, directed and decorated my Quasi-Elopement Destination Ceremony. There were 16 of us at the mountain top ceremony with a photographer and videographer. I rented a house that accommodated all of us and the catered-in dinner on that evening.

We are now preparing a Destination Reception for our family and friends that will begin showing the video of the Ceremony and then we will enter as husband and wife. Through the Reception, we will show the remainder of the video and a slideshow of still-shots from the Ceremony and events at the house. We will have another photographer and videographer for the Reception as well.
