Timeline Rough Draft

nolegirl, on November 6, 2017 at 2:50 PM Posted in Planning 0 2

For those of you that are starting your ceremony at 5, do you mind giving me a rough draft of your timeline for the night! Thanks!!

Including ceremony length, cocktail hour, dinner, dances, exit time, etc!

    We started at 5:30...

    3-5ish photos at venue

    5 guests arrive

5:30 ceremony (lasted about half an hour)

6-6:15ish cocktail hour, including a couple welcome speeches

    7:30 dinner

    8:30 final speeches

    9-9:15 cake cutting

    9:30 dancing

    11:30 late night snack

    12:30 last call

    1:00 shutdown

(we didn't do any spotlight dances, tosses, or an exit.)

My DOC and Photographer helped put together the timeline with us. Yours looks fine. I assume it is a buffet given the 45 minutes to eat (we did the same). I might extend cocktail hour a bit and only give people 5 minutes to find their seat, it shouldn't take long. We did our cake cutting later in the night to break up the dancing per a DJ recommendation that worked well for us, but I don't think it matters.
