So i really really want to take sunset photos for my wedding next year and am not quite sure if i should have a later ceremony or an earlier one and sneak out for a bit during my reception. Thoughts?

I Love sunset photos too!! Me and my fiancé are having a 3pm ceremony and sneaking away at the reception for sunset photos.

You can always have an earlier ceremony and have a cocktail hour around that time so you can take the photos around that time. That way you won't have to sneak out of anything.

I'm thinking this may be easiest! We're in Florida though and I'm afraid of my hair and makeup not being great by then

Definitely sneak away. That way guests can enjoy an earlier wedding/dinner time. Hangry guests are not happy guests.

I’d sneak away!! It’ll be easier that way and way less stressful. Then you don’t have to worry about some weird ceremony timing messing up any sunset photos, god forbid!

I would opt to sneak away, but plan your events early enough so they don’t overlap with your timeframe for sunset, and you should be fine!

We decided to sneak away for a bit to get our sunset pictures so we could still get the full number of hours out of our reception. I didn’t want to start too late.

Here is our timeline. I looked up exact time for sunset and slide it in when I thought we would least be missed. Timeline for 8:30 Sunset 1
