Time to Get Ready

Ask the hairdresser and makeup artists how long it takes for group of your size. Every beautician is different.

I would give at least 5 hours, especially if it’s only 1 hairdresser and 1 MUA.

I would plan for about 45 minutes for hair for each bridesmaid and 45 minutes for each bridesmaid. I would also plan for about about an hour for your hair and an hour for your makeup, but I would definitely talk with your hairstylist and makeup artist. Is either mom getting their hair done?

Your HMUA should be the one to tell you how long it will take.

I would plan on an hour for makeup possible an hour 15min to an hour 1/2 for hair

It took 6 hours for 1 hair, 1 makeup artist to do my hair and makeup (2 1/2 just for me) and then my 3 bridesmaids and my mother. But definitely ask around.

We started at 9 AM for a 6 PM ceremony, with myself, 3 bridesmaids, and both moms. We did hair at the salon, sharing 4 stylists (well they shared three, and my normal stylist did mine) and then everyone had their makeup done by one make-up artist. You do want to ask your HMUA about it though - it will depend on styles/type of makeup etc.
