Time thoughts

Monique, on August 18, 2019 at 7:38 PM Posted in Planning 0 9
If the wedding is supposed to start at 1:15 would about 10:30 be a good time to do first look and wedding party/family photos?

That seems early to me but I would ask your photographer. Our ceremony was at 4 and I did a first look with my dad at 1:45, followed by first look with my husband, and all wedding party photos (with a 20 person wedding party). Then did our ketubah signing and practiced our first dance and it was plenty of time.

I think it would be okay to start a little later. Maybe around 11:30 ish, but definitely check with the photographer as PP said!

I asked my photographer he hasn’t responded just yet so I wanted to ask others opinions. We are doing photos off location as well (within 5 minutes of venue) so I wanted To factor that time in as well. If people were to start arriving by 12:45 I would want to be done by then and rehidden lol

Oh okay! I see why you're wanting to start photos earlier!

That seems very early. I would discuss your timeline with your photographer. They should make one for you. Our ceremony begins at 5:30 pm and we will do our first look 4:00 pm.

Our photographer recommended starting the first look and photos 3 hours before the ceremony start so we have 2 hours for photos and I can be hidden about an hour before start time so we make sure no one sees me. It sounds a little early, but having the buffer will be nice

We are doing a first look. Our ceremony starts at 3 and our photographer wants us to start at 11:30 because she wants to make sure I’m back in the bridal suite before guests start showing up
