Time frame

2.5 hours is an inconvenient gap. Cocktail hour is typically an hour, an hour and a half would be pushing it.

Your photographer will be able to tell you how long it will take. If you’re wanting to do family and couple photos in this time as well I would suggest moving wedding party photos to before the ceremony.

Our ceremony is the same timeframe but my wedding party only consist of 10 people including us. 1 bridesmaid, 1 groomsman, 1 matron of honor, 1 best man, 2 flower girls, 1 ring bearer & 1 usher. Our cocktail hour is at 3:30-4:30 & we will be announced at 5:00 for our entrance. Our photographer already said he would be quick because of the fact our party is small. It truly depends on your photographer & what he/she can do within that timeframe.

Our pics took a little over an hour and it was pretty fast paced- think 2-3 min per grouping that you want. We had 3 bridemaids/groomsmen plus a flower girl. We also did pics of us in that time as we didn’t do a first look.
