Tiki torches

bluswoman, on April 26, 2009 at 7:23 AM Posted in Planning 0 2

I am having my ceremony and reception in our backyard, which is a very good size. I have been wanting to use tiki torches down the aisle for the ceremony. My MOH thinks my dress is gonna catch fire but I think if they are far enough apart and they are shoulder height it should be fine, plus will help keep bugs away. What do you guys think?

If they are high enough and far enough away from you as you walk down the isle, I think you should go for it.

There are also several places to purchase the tiki torches that have a flame guard on them...some even have a glass globe so you would be fine no matter what....at some of our SCA "war events" where we camp for several days, you can have the torches but they must have a flame guard for safety....might help put Mom's mind at ease and you still get your torches.
