I wore both a tiara and a veil. If the Royal family can do it, so can you!! I got mine from Rita Lane Vintage on Etsy. It has hidden Mickeys on it!

There are alternatives to traditional tiaras that are actually older in style. Virtually all the headpieces, with the exception of two, in the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit series are circlets instead of tiaras.
And the one person who made mine, and who I think makes the best circlets in the US, short of contacting Weta and hoping they'd make you one, is Elnara Niall of Medieval Bridal Fashions. There are a few others on Etsy, but she has been around the longest. She has her usual collection working with either brass or silver along with semi-precious and synthetic stones. What you get from her is something that can be an heirloom. I had her make a circlet for my niece who is our flower girl and going on a major princess trip.

    Here's a link to her gallery. http://www.medievalbridalfashions.com/gallery.htm

She also makes dresses if you live around where she lives. If you give her enough time, she will make you a work of art.

Hahah this cracked me up! I personally will not be wearing one but my daughter who is 7 wants to wear one lol. She and my niece will be the flower girls so they will both have small ones. Tiaras are not my style personally but I see plenty of brides that wear them and look absolutely gorgeous!

This is the one i bought, it's gorgeous! It has a nice weight and doesnt feel cheap at all. I chose roge gold because i have those accents in my dress but it come in regular gold (too yellow for my taste), and silver. It's flexible but i wouldnt reccomend bending it alot. Hope this helps.

Nothing wrong with wearing a tiara on your wedding day.

    I prefer circlets.

Being a bride is a time where you learn to listen to yourself and what you really love. The more you follow trends when you get married, the more your photos will likely look dated.
Stay true to what feels good for you.

I didn't, but I loved the headpiece a friend made for me of mother of pearl, and tigers eye gemstones. Against my black hair they had a soft glow.
If there is every time to indulge yourself and wear a princess tiara, this is it.
My sister wanted an imitation Ruby and cubic zirconia one. And her ( now ex ) husband came from a nouveau riche, all about appearances family. Their manners we're bad, and they did not know the meaning of being courteous or gracious. And from 11 months out, when sis decided to wear a custom made wedding dress worn by a favorite aunt, with an inherited white wedding coat for time outside ( January) , and a tiara, her FMIL, her sisters, her friends all made nasty little barb's they called, just joking. No, mean. She got through the day of with a big smile, but I know hurt underneath. For what? Just what satisfaction do people get from putting other people down, and being deliberately hurtful? What harm was done by her wearing a fairy princess gown and tiara ? She was gorgeous, her husband was entranced by the transformation from miss blue jeans. That is all that matters. Who gives a hoot what is trendy, or out. If you are going all out with your gown and tux , go all out. But remember the formal over the elbow gloves!
