Thursday Wedding For a Budget

I would go but only for close family and friends. My cousin had a Thursday wedding and a large amount of her invites were declined due to it being on a Thursday and people having trouble getting off work.

Can you spring for Friday? I think Thursday vs Friday makes a huge difference. I personally only get 2 weeks of vacation time per year which goes really fast! Also depends on where the wedding is. Is there a big city nearby for your traveling guests to enjoy over the weekend? Cuz if they're there on wed/Thursday they might as well stay through the weekend and make a vacation out of it.

I think it is know your crowd type thing. When a friend of mine got married, most of the older guests were retired, or semi-retired, many of the younger ones were students, teachers (it was in the summer), first responders. Many of that last group find it easier to get a weekday off.

If someone I knew was having a Thursday wedding, I would do everything I could to get there. As others have stated, know your crowd. Not everyone works Mon-Fri.

I'm having a Thursday wedding as well! Huge money saver. Most of our guests are local, though! My question is, what time are you other weekdayers starting your ceremony??
