It is cheaper to have your wedding on a Sunday, Friday or Thursday. Those days cut cost in getting a venue. My wedding is on a Sunday because it was one of the days that were cheaper.

I wish I could have a wedding that small! Sadly, my side of the family alone is about that many people :')

My wedding will be about 60 people Smiley smile We've saved money by:

Dress - Bought off the rack on sale at David's Bridal

Venue - Getting married on a Friday and only renting for part of the day

Catering - Limiting bar to beer and wine, doing a consumption bar then switching to cash

    Stationary - Vistaprint.com sales

Photography/DJ/Florist - Found for a discount through local Facebook groups

We're also skipping some of the things that might be worked into traditional budgets - I'm doing my own makeup, my mom's doing my hair, we're skipping favors, not renting a car/limo, etc... you can do it!

We're having a small wedding too with about 20-25 people. Having it on a day other than a Saturday is a big way to save $$ and look into do a catered buffet rather than plated. Our wedding is going to be very untraditional at an Airbnb. We can bring in our own food and alcohol which also saves us a ton right there, no DJ, no transportation (the house sleeps 24 so everyone who is invited is staying there) and we're going to ask a family member to officiate.

Intimate wedding 28 guests plus us, just immediate family and it’s so much less stress. We get our dream wedding for a fraction of the cost and get to enjoy it with only our besties. Mind you, still costing a pretty penny but we get a week long destination wedding and aren’t skimping on an open bar or food, which wouldn’t be possible with a larger guest list.

I wish I had done something small and intimate. Granted we invited 190 people and MAYBE 100 will show up... I still feel like I shoulda planned for smaller.

I think it will be beautiful and def. affordable.
