If it's what you want, I think you just need to commit 110% and OWN it, regardless of what others think. It's an nontraditional choice, so there are likely going to be some people who are surprised by it; as long as you're good with that, go for it! I have a close relative who chose a black wedding dress. Were there people who thought it was unusual? Yep! But, it didn't matter to her, and she rocked it and was SOOOOO happy with her choice. You can't control what others think, they are entitled to their opinions, just like you're entitled to choose what you want to wear for your wedding.
