Thoughts on Yurt ?

Sarah, on January 5, 2020 at 1:41 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 7
I am having an outdoor morning wedding and will have the reception in a tent, however I am not keen on the whole tent look.

After poking around online a bit I found you could rent a yurt pictured below. I am just looking for some feedback, is it a good idea ? Look good ? Has anyone used one before ? Do they get insanely hot ? Do you have pictures ? (Lol sorry for all the questions). Thoughts on Yurt ? 1

While I have never experienced a yurt, I think that that is a really cool idea!

A campsite reception sounds lovely -love that idea. I don't know if I can explain it well but a yurt is like a tent but with canvas/light wood frame (I think). Google search images and you might get a better idea than my poor explanation lol !

Oh, trust me, by now, I know all about yurts lol. You can get a yurt thats basically a big tent for 100$. I found a place near my wedding venue that, if i pay them 100$, i can just rent a yurt for the rest of the weekend. The ones at campgrounds have light wood frames bc theyre more permanent. Im so excited!!

Oh, but in regards to your original forum post, i obvi think a yurt is a great idea. Only thing is, getting ready in the morning. I have a gym membership, so im going to shower and get ready there. Thats the only thing i can see becoming a problem

I don't have any experience with this, but I love this idea!!! Not sure where you are located, but with a summer wedding, I would maybe look into a yurt with AC. I know they make them, as I have seen some for rent in the mountains where we live
