Thoughts on rsvp cards

Kaycee, on April 10, 2024 at 8:19 PM Posted in Planning 0 2
Looking for insight on if doing RSVP cards are worth it or if I should just leave it to online RSVP on our website !

This depends on your crowd: are they fairly tech savvy and able to navigate websites? If so, then online RSVP is a great choice, but if not (or if you have a lot of older guests who don't use the internet much), then RSVP cards may be the better option. Online RSVP saves money (no postage and no physical cards to purchase) and avoids a potential lost-in-the-mail issue, but may not be ideal for all guests. Another option to consider is giving both options: RSVP cards for those who may prefer them, and online RSVP for anyone else.

Unpopular opinion but we chose to do paper RSVPs only. We didn’t have a website either because the 2 couples in our social circles/family who had one didn’t have a positive experience with them. Even though many of our guests are tech savvy, not everyone is comfortable with it for a formal event, and technology has a tendency to glitch. We didn’t have anyone lose theirs in the mail, and many said that having a physical card made it easier to put in the mail immediately.
