Thoughts on my trial makeup?

Hi everyone! I had my hair and makeup trial today and absolutely love the hair. It’s everything I wanted and more!

The makeup I’m not so sure about. I can’t tell if I just feel weird about it because I never wear makeup or if it’s unflattering. I guess I feel a little orange or something? But in some lighting I do like it more. The makeup artist did say my skin was dry so it was cakier than it ideally would be, so I’m planning on starting an exfoliating and deep moisturizing routine asap. Any thoughts are welcome and appreciated! Thoughts on my trial makeup? 1

I think both look beautiful! If you are unsure about the hue, try on different shades of lipstick when you get home. Lipstick is the quickest way to drastically change your look with very minimal effort (although I think the color you are wearing looks great on you!)

I think you look gorgeous 😍 Your hair is EVERYTHING.
I wear makeup daily and still feel weird when I put on a completely full face, so I'd recommended continuing to wear it around for a few hours before you make up your mind about it! From the photos, the foundation looks like the right color for your skin, which means it should photograph well! Maybe have a friend take some photos indoors and outdoors for you to see how it really photographs?

Your makeup looks great!!
I was suffering from dry skin about two months ago, but these products has helped me with my dry skin.
Drug store:
-Neutrogena Hydroboost Gel
-Neutrogena Hydroboost Mask (I use these about 1x a week)

Higher end:
-Josie Maran Argan Oil (they offer a mini size bottle if you want to just try it out) - this is the one product that has REALLY helped improve my dry skin

Ahhh the indoor outdoor photos made such a difference, thank you! And thanks for the reassurance about the color, feels good to hear that even regular makeup-wearers find the full face a little odd too!

Oh absolutely! Longwear makeup also breathes differently from an everyday foundation, so I'm always a little more aware of its existence. You look stunning, and you'll be such a beautiful bride 💛

You're welcome! Everyone is definitely different. There were a few products my cousin recommended me, but sadly it didn't work for my skin. It totally worked for hers though. So definitely see what your skin likes best

I think it looks gorgeous! I don't think it looks orange, but if you are worried about that, you could slightly change the lip colour next time to just be a hint more pink/berry, but honestly I don't think you need to!

I think you look great. Coral is very flattering. I kept a humidifier in my office through the seasons and run it daily for my skin and sinuses. 😉

I think the makeup is really pretty. It is warm toned but doesn't look unflattering at all and goes well with your hair color. Your hair is stunning too.
As someone who doesn't wear much makeup, I could see how this might feel like a lot for you but I don't think it looks overdone or heavy handed at all. It certainly isn't a light, natural look, but I think its very flattering and pretty.
I always think a bride should look like the best version of her authentic self on her wedding day, but ultimately the overall look is up to you. If you feel comfortable with it, go for it!
