So I bought this beautiful dress for my wedding in November but it is quite heavy , now I’m thinking of buying a second lighter dress for the open dancing portion of our reception.
Has anyone done this ?

I don’t want to wear it the entire reception just the last 2-3 hours our event is going until 1 am..
so I don’t know if it would really make sense to spend more money on another dress...

That's a great idea. I didn't do it but in hindsight I think it would have been good because it'd make it easier to move around in

Hi Dania,
Congratulations, I'm wearing a second dress, it's from jjshouse, style 105912, if you want to look it up, my bridesmaids are wearing the same dress, theirs will be lilac and mine is lavender, just so much easier for dancing and navigating the reception!!

A lot of people do this! I think it’s perfectly normal. My dress was light so I didn’t end up doing it though.
