Thoughts on a cape and veil combo?

I've ordered a wonderful bridal cape off of Etsy which should be here soon. The seller also offers a fingertip veil in the same fabric (a shimmer tulle). I considered doing both the cape and veil for the ceremony, then removing the cape and just wearing the veil during the reception. Do you think that would be too much and maybe I should just stick with the cape? Here are pictures of my dress (please excuse the blue blobs - trying to block faces!), the cape, and the possible veil.

The back of your dress is gorgeous! As is the cape. I think the veil is completely unnecessary and will detract from the back of the dress and the cape.

I say no veil. Wear the cape for the ceremony and let the beautiful back piece shine at the reception.

Agreed - the cape and back of that dress are so beautiful! You can't cover it with a veil!

Thanks for taking care of my second thoughts, all! I specifically chose that cape because it left the back of the dress open so you could see the swag back. So you're all right, putting a veil on top would be silly.

The cape is stunning. The veil pales in comparison. I would just go with the cape as its train adds the drama typically associated with a veil.

I wouldn't do both. The cape is gorgeous and I would just stick with that. The veil is pretty but not standout in any way, whereas the cape is a show stopper.
