Those supplying own alcohol...

About how much are you budgeting for this what is your guest count? what type of alcohol are you buying? I'm just trying to get an idea of what I will be spending. If there's been a recent post on this, I'm sorry. I'm on my phone and I can't search. Feel free to link me to any post on this. Thanks! ...

I just realize I told you not to stalk beer... Obviously I meant stock beer. But hey, stalking is bad too! Smiley tongue

FinallyDoingit, FH and his friends only drink high-end liqueur (as he calls it), so he made sure he was in charge of the alcohol. I am glad he decided not to include the alcohol in the budget, considering there isn't one. The gift he is getting his GM is a bottle of Macallan 15 Year Old Scotch

Oh, I just remembered... when we were at BevMo, they said you could do a tasting of different wines and sparkling wines/champagnes (up to 6 different ones I think?) if you sign up for their wedding something or other. We didn't do it because we were buying our wine that day. But since you have a year, you might want to look into that.

That's where FH is purchasing our alcohol. I am going to look into this. Thanks Lirana.

@Lirana. I'm sure there will be plenty of beer stalking. Lol I'll pop in BevMo and see about the wedding thingy you are talking about. Sounds great. Thanks so much for the help.

Sorry for the late follow up. It's safe to assume people have an average of one drink an hour. I use this number unless 1) you have invited a frat or a nursing home or 2) the wedding ends before 4pm. So 50 people x 5 hours of drinking is 250 drinks. Whatever balance of wine/ beer you decide, aim for 250.

There are 60 drinks in a case of wine and 165 12oz servings of beer in a standard keg. You could do mixed drinks + 1 keg + 1 case of wine (50+165+60 = 275) and be within your $500 budget. You can mix the case of wine up and still keep it under $120.
