those doing a dollar dance, what are you using to hold the $ and who holds it?

All the weddings I've been to have had the MOH holding a jar and people just put money in that.

We're using a jar for each. It fits with my rustic theme very well.

I decorated "hers" and "his" lol

My dad just held a simple basket for it. Guests had fun with the it at our wedding - they folded the bills til they were really skinny and tied them in knots! Usually around here, guests get a shot for doing the dollar dance, but at the last wedding I went to as a guest they served slices of the cake instead.

I have a glass gallon jug that I use for spare change, which I count and deposit once a in awhile. Maybe I should decorate that up for ours. Our DJ says that around here almost everyone does them.

We went to one last year where all the money went into a cowboy hat that the MOH was holding on to. It wasn't decorated special or anything, but it was still pretty cool.

You prob won't like this idea but we had money pinned. It's the only way we've ever seen it done. No damage done to either my dress or his suit. We used very thin sewing pins.

My friend did it and I (as the MOH) held the money the people paid to dance with the groom and the best man held it for the people paying to dance with her.
