Thinking about wearing my dress twice

I would wear it as much as I can!

You hopefully only get married once so wear it as long/often as you can.

We are having a smaller destination wedding for immediate family and closest friends, where I will be wearing my wedding dress. We will then have a huge reception back home for everybody else when we return. I am thinking of having my wedding dress shortened above the knee into a party dress to wear for the reception back home.

That is a great idea. I would totally jump on the chances if I were able to wear my multiple times

We are also having our minimony this October, and I plan on wearing my dress both this year and next year! Why not, how many brides get to wear their dress twice. Plus I spent a lot of money on mine, so I want to get the maximum value out of it. I will probably do my hair/makeup differently next year so that my FH is still a little wowed when he sees me.

I would wear it twice! I am so in love with my dress and would jump at any chance to wear it again.

We're having a small wedding this October and hope to have a reception in 2022 - but tbh I doubt I'll fit in it again at that point!

I’m wearing a different dress for our minimony versus our vow renewal / celebration only because FH wants to be surprised at the future celebration.

I am wearing mine this October for our church ceremony with family and bridal party (total of 40 people) and then I will wear it again when I do our large reception in October 2021.

I am wearing mine for both! I love my dress, and it’s the most expensive piece of clothing I own lol. It’s def the silver lining being able to wear it more than once!

If you love you dress, why not? Will you have two different hair & make up looks?

Yes me too! I'm wearing it for our October mini wedding and again next December. That's been the one upside ... I get to wear that beautiful creation twice. I think if you like the idea, do it!
