Thinking about a corset back

Brittany, on June 15, 2019 at 3:16 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 20
I bought my dress online. I’m so in love with it! It’s a tad tight. I’ve been fasting, working out, watching carbs and sugars, and calorie intake. My wedding is 4 months awaySmiley smile I’m about to start my alterations. I’ll ask to have some gussets put under the arms; to allow some more room in the bust. I’ll also get it hemmed. I’m thinking about a corset back too. Do y’all think it’s too soon to get a corset back in? Do y’all have any regrets with your alterations? Thanks for taking the time to read this Smiley smile

Love your dress! I just had my first alterations appointment yesterday, and my wedding isn’t until February. My dress is made with a corset back, but my seamstress said with a corset back, you can gain a little weight and be okay but can’t lose too much (since you can only pull it so tight). If you’re planning on losing more weight, I’d weight a little longer to get the corset put in!

I love having a corset back on my dress, that way it’s fixed to your own body type. I’m a size 16 and I love my body just the way it is and I have it one my dress and it hugs my body just right....

Thanks to you and your fiancé for supporting this country. My three year old class is going to start “writing” a military person. By writing I mean drawing pictures for.

I got a corset back put in and I fell even more in love with my dress and how I felt in it. The corset was a game changer for me. It slims me out, gives me an hourglass shape and allows me to eat whatever I want (I’m a stress eater) without worrying!

I bought a dress that has an illusion front and back and a zipper, but I'm having both things removed and a corset put in. It's nice knowing that it'll fit if your weight fluctuates.

Thanks Christina!! Smiley smile I think knowing I’ll easily fit into my dress will reduce stress for me. I’ve been dieting so hard... it’s no fun! I think I’m going to go for it!!

Thank you! I've been dead set on a corset for my dress for as long as I can remember. I've worn the same size of clothes for the last 8 years, but the thought of my dress not fitting stresses me out! 😂

    Your dress is lovely!!!

I don't love corset backs, so for me it was something that I steered clear of when finding my dress. However, if you're worried about fit then I definitely think it's a great option and it absolutely adds quite a bit of leeway.
