Things to put on registry for long-term couple?

We've been together almost 6 years too. I upgraded almost everything: New towels, new sheets, a nice comforter, better pillows, better bath mats, better pots & pans, a BLENDER (finally!), better knives, serving platters, etc. I mean, we had all that, but it was crappy stuff from our college days. We ended up donating a lot of our old stuff once we received nicer stuff from the shower.

Like camping? Upgraded tent.

Love to read? Books.

Drinkers? Wine subscriptions.

Artsy? New paintings for your walls.

Want to make cooking easier? WiFi crockpot.

I also registered for a Chess set!

We bought our house 3 years before we got engaged, and had lived together before that as well. We upgraded our towels, bedding, pots & pans, knife set, silverware and bathroom accessories (the soap dispenser, tissue box holder, toothbrush holder, etc.). We registered for hostess/serveware items that either upgraded the plastic version or was in addition to what we already had (I love the stuff from the B. Smith line at BBB!). We already had tons of glassware but registered for a ice bucket with tongs, an engraved pitcher, etc. We registered for "fun" items like copper mugs, a wine cooler, and kitchen gadgets we would use but wouldn't buy for ourselves. We registered for China, which we actually got a lot of, because we already had our every day dishes and bowls. We also made a registry on Etsy with personalized home decor items, and we got nearly every single thing off of that registry.

We're having a hard time with our registry for the same reason. We've lived together a little over 2 years, and just bought our first home 3 months ago. I had no idea we'd be getting engaged so I went and bought brand new EVERYTHING to fill the new house with.

Honestly, I've put a few upgrade items we want and some decor/fun stuff but I think we're just going to have a small registry. Don't want to jam pack the house full of shit we don't need just because we felt obligated to have a large registry.

@annakay511 HOLY SH*T THERE'S AN ETSY REGISTRY?!?!?!?!?! I am constantly on there and I do not know how I am only just learning about this now... Looks like my night is going to be spent doing that!

We registered for new dishes (everyday), flatware, steak knives, Kitchenaid hand mixer, toaster, digital kitchen scale, welcome mat, jumbo beach umbrella and beach chairs, sheets and towels, lots of neat kitchen gadgets/tools I didn't know existed before. Oh, even a heating pad!

Towel warmer.

Wine cooler.

I am upgrading most of my pots pans etc but what i am most excited for is a kitchen aid mixer!!!!! LOL i also don't have a large registry i just did Macy's.

We registered for the normal stuff...new sheets towel small kitchen stuff. FH wanted a ninja blender.

I may totally have to look into the etsy registry. People love buying personalized stuff and I would love to direct them to things we might actually use! Etsy is dangerous!

We've lived together for 3 years, so we had a lot to.... some of the things we registered for:

We did wifi smoke detectors from Nest, air purifier, steam mop, new fans, picnic basket.

Put what you want then ask for cash don't put useless junk to make your registry filled up.
